Guatemala - Sierra De Las Minas

Orange + Chocolate + Almond + Caramelly sweet This lot from the Antigua region of Guatemala was purchased in partnership with Los Volcanes, and imported via Falcon Specialty Coffees. This is the third '24 harvest Guatemalan coffee we have brought in from Los Volcanes and Falcon, and this one is here to stay for a while! We were interested in bringing on another "staple" type of offering that would be very well-suited for espresso and that we could have around for a large chunk of the year. This coffee checks all the boxes in that realm for us - rich, viscous mouthfeel, amber/caramel sweetness, and a lovely presence of citrus in the neighborhood of orange zest. It has been sweet to work directly with Los Volcanes by connecting in person with their main US team member - Dan Griffin. We have cupped coffees with Dan and spent time talking through the coffee industry together. Having the chance to connect this way makes partnerships exciting for us, and we are looking forward to the many seasons of partnering with Los Volcanes!
