Our second year offering this Yellow Catuai from producer Orlando Lemus! We were delighted to be his first US roasting partner last year, and thrilled to have the opportunity to continue the purchasing relationship!

What the producer tastes:

Citrus, pip fruits (apple, pears), citric acidity, chocolate, stone fruits, juicy coating body

What we taste:

Really yellow-fruits forward, peach, vibrant, juicy, dark chocolate.

We first connected with Orlando Lemus with the help of Algrano, and were among the first US roasters to work with Algrano’s new US operation that began in 2023. We loved the way they were so hands off and simply made a doorway to connect in a real way with the farms they were featuring.

Apolo coffee processes Orlando’s coffee, and we had the sweet chance to connect with them on video call and tell them personally how much we loved their coffees and wanted to commit to buying them! They graciously trusted us with this beautiful Yellow Catuaí lot.
