We have tasted multiple seasons of the Chito community's Mejorado lot from various roasters, and it always stood out wonderfully - even next to the highly sought after La Papaya Mejorado. And interestingly enough, the Mejorado trees from this Chito Community lot are directly descended from Hacienda La Papaya. This coffee's '90s nostalgia vibes couldn't be any higher. We were perplexed upon examining this coffee to find that it tasted exactly like all of the listed notes above. We don't often feature naturals, but this one truly surprised us and we are so glad all of you like naturals so much because otherwise we would have missed an absolute bomb. A core of Thankfully's values in operating as a roastery is to bring more coffees to market that are maybe less sought after, or from producers who are just less known by specialty buyers. You can see this playing out in many of our purchasing choices from various origins. We were thrilled for the opportunity to buy this natural process Mejorado from the Chito community this season!
